KARIS BEAUMONT

Biography

Hailing from Hertfordshire, Karis Beaumont (b. 1996) is an award winning photographer and creative director.

Karis' work is a study of beauty & culture beyond a Western gaze. Known for her signature brown tones & emotive style, her visual storytelling aims to provide viewers a sense of discovery while responsibly emphasising community within her subjects. As a self-taught artist, Karis' distinctive ability to capture intimacy & authenticity is shaped by her West Indian roots, and upbringing in rural Britain. Her clients include New York Times, Rolling Stone, ESPN, Guardian, WeTransfer, NHS, Pinterest, SSENSE, NIKE, Levi's, Campari, Sony Music & more.

Karis is the founder of Bumpkin Files, an archive and journal centred around Black life in Britain beyond the London-centric narrative.
