Biography
Hailing from Hertfordshire, Karis Beaumont (b. 1996) is a photographic artist based in London, available worldwide.
Karis' work is a study of beauty & culture beyond a Western gaze. Known for her signature brown tones and emotive visual style, Karis creates images that invite discovery and celebrate community. Her storytelling blends intimacy and authenticity — shaped by her West Indian heritage and upbringing in rural Britain. A self-taught artist, she brings a tender and thoughtful eye to the people and places she photographs.
Karis is the founder of Bumpkin Files, an archive and journal centred around Black life in Britain beyond the London-centric narrative.
